The Private Reserve offers a subtle mingling of vanilla from long maturation in Bourbon casks with the distinctive notes of its Speyside malts. On the nose there is vanilla sweetness combined with hints of dry tobacco, leather and apple. The taste carries on with toffee, malt, cracked black pepper, sweet vanilla and five spice. The finish, full-bodied and lingering, befits these fine old whiskies.
